How to make a good 8-offset offset trademark version

Printing the packaging or trademarks of alcohol, medicine, food, beverages, daily necessities and other products with an eight-offset offset press has the characteristics of low cost, simple operation, stable quality, convenience and quickness. It has been widely adopted by small and medium-sized printing companies.

The following talks about some issues that should be considered when imposition in practical work.

1. Most of the design of product packaging or trademarks is made by computer, and the color separation film is output for printing and then printed on the machine. Whether it is manual imposition or electronic imposition, we must consider whether the post-printing processes, such as cutting, embossing, hot stamping, laminating, etc., will be affected by the previous process.

2. Wine labels or food and beverage packaging are usually integrated inside and outside packaging. The trademark affixed to the wine bottle is mainly composed of a cap and a body. The cap shape is irregular and the pattern is complicated, most of them need to be die-cut. During imposition, the cap and body should be separated. The cap cannot be close to the body, and there should be room for die cutting and indentation between the caps.

3. Pay attention to the size of the finished product. After the logo is assembled into a large eight-page version, about 3mm of wool should be left to bleed around, otherwise, the white edges will affect the quality of the product after cutting and die cutting.

4. If there are solid or flat nets on the top and bottom of the trademark, the solid or flat nets should be joined together during imposition. For example, there is a field under the wine label, and the field and the field should be joined together diagonally, so that when cutting, the upper and lower trademarks can be cut with one knife without the problem of white borders.

5. When imposition, we must consider the problem of opening paper and cutting, how to determine the mouth. For small-sized octagonal paper (39cm × 27cm) and large-sized octagonal paper (30cm × 42cm), if it is spelled out with a full version and a full edge, and there is a 1.5cm unprinted text and pattern in the finished size on one side of the trademark When there is a blank space, you can borrow this white border as the printed gripper position.

6. Manual imposition is generally carried out on the imposition coordinates copied from transparencies. The finished product size should be accurate when imposition, and it should be placed correctly without skew. For small trademarks, there are many pieces placed during imposition. In order to prevent size confusion in the middle of imposition, the exact position of the fine lines, text, and patterns in the vertical and horizontal directions of the trademark should be marked with transparent imposition coordinates.

7. When imposition, it is required to mark the ruled line, cross line, center line, trailing line, corner line, color block, gripper, etc., and the various lines should not be within the finished size of the trademark, otherwise, the cut Dirty lines and color blocks will affect the appearance of the finished trademark. If the line or color block is too long, you can use a knife to scrape it short; the available revision paste that has been printed on the PS version will be corrected.

8. The color-separated film needs to be assembled into a large version. If the film is 16K, 32K, 64K and other small specifications, it needs continuous splicing. Because the film has a certain thickness, the film is folded between each other and it is easy to dry the PS version. Or when copying the film, there is a gap in the folding place, so that the vacuum pump can not be tightly closed, resulting in the printing plate that has been printed out, the screen is printed, the dots are false, and the ink is not on.

Solution: One is to output the eight-fold large version on the computer; the second is to skillfully trim according to the actual situation during imposition, and use a knife to thin the edge of the film to avoid folding.

9. Most of the trademarks or packaging products are multi-color overprints, and accurate overprinting can only be achieved if the imposition is accurate. The imposition order is:

(1) Base color first, then press color;

(2) Spell lighter colors first, then darker colors;

(3) The characters, lines, and patterns printed by the dots are printed with high precision.

(4) Put the primary color first, then the secondary color;

The most effective way to check the quality of the imposition is proofing. Before printing the assembled version, it is best to perform offset proofing to check whether the overprint is accurate, whether the ink hue is consistent with the color of the design draft, and whether the graphic lines are omissions, etc. It is necessary to check the C, M, Y, and K values of each monochromatic and superimposed color sample, so as to provide accurate proof text and color for customers. The true basis of the pattern.
