1 Project Overview
The campus network of Capital University of Economics and Business was established in 1997. At present, there are two campuses with a total of two computer rooms and a total of more than 100 server devices. Most brands are IBM and HP. The remote management of the server greatly reduces the management overhead. The server purchased in this project is used for the upgrade and reconstruction of the existing system on the campus network.

The server upgrade of Capital University of Economics and Business is to update the existing equipment to effectively improve the information service capability of the campus network, and at the same time reduce the hidden danger of service interruption caused by aging equipment. The equipment selected for this transformation hopes to make a seamless and smooth transition with existing networks and servers to ensure the stability and management consistency of the entire network server.

2Technical solutions

Status and needs analysis

In the existing IT environment, the management of servers and storage is very complex and decentralized, making it difficult to perform effective centralized management. Customers hope that through related solutions, they can manage the servers, storage and other equipment in the computer room in a unified manner, so as to carry out remote and effective centralized management, and realize the flexibility and high efficiency of IT management.

System design goals

Through the above demand analysis, we can know that the overall design goal of the customer is to use the feature-rich, extensible and secure management tool suite to manage the HP server and storage environment of the entire computer room from a single management console. It can be roughly divided into the following points:
1. Unified and centralized management platform: unified management between different hardware and operating system platforms to improve stability and efficiency;
2. Remote control server: No matter what the state of the operating system, you can remotely control the system anytime, anywhere. Support remote virtual KVM, virtual media, virtual power supply, remote desktop and other advanced technologies to achieve reliable remote complete control and management;

9. Realize power consumption and heat dissipation management: By accurately measuring and regulating server power consumption and heat dissipation, as well as configuring power adjustment and capping settings across the entire server group, data center facilities can be used more efficiently.
10. Achieve unified management of physical and virtual server infrastructure architecture, and get more benefits from virtualization investment.
