New Black Technology: Reduces SLA printing costs by 90%

Recently, Cyprus 3D printer manufacturer Ilios introduced its Thermal Masking technology, which can print SLA models at a cost reduction of 90%. The technology will be incorporated into upcoming market price of 294 US dollars of Ilios Nano SLA 3D printer.

SLA 3D printing technology usually includes three aspects.
The first aspect is the VAT glass coating, which marks the exposure to ultraviolet light.
The second aspect is the thermal printhead, which determines the resolution and print speed of the exposure layer.
The third aspect is the cooling process of the glass surface. Before printing the next layer, make sure that the upper layer is kept under UV light for a sufficient amount of time to cure the SLA material.

Design and specifications of the Ilios Nano 3D printer

The company's co-founder Zavorotnitsienko explained: "By using heat-shielding technology, we are able to significantly reduce costs while printing clearer layers that are exposed to the default 405nm UV source. We no longer need DLP projection , LCD screens, or laser components. Materials are reduced as much as possible."

The Nano printer is an affordable printer that includes a DC motor such as a code, a spindle spindle, and other components.

The accuracy of Ilios Nano printing is just one of the outstanding performances of this thermal shielding technology. This technology can also be implemented in more precise components, resulting in better results at a price that is 1/10 that of traditional SLA 3D printing products.

“With capital investment and more research, this may be the best technology for future 3D printing products, with great expansion space and development potential,” said the co-founder.
