VeriFone showcases fully compatible mobile POS terminals

Sales terminal manufacturer Verifone has launched a new mobile terminal, the PAYware Mobile e355, which is compatible with all forms of mobile and traditional bank card payments, from simple magnetic strip bank cards to chips and PIN EMV cards, as well as various forms. NFC payment system, from iOS to Android or Windows Phone, including Apple Pay, Google Wallet, Softcard, etc., PAYware Mobile e355 can support.

PAYware Mobile e355 has built-in wireless network connection, Bluetooth, NFC and USB and an optional barcode scanning module (for processing coupons or membership card information, etc.). The PAYware Mobile e355 will be popular in the US during the year, as the US federal government requires new end products to be compatible with chip PIN (or EMV) cards, which means many merchants who have not yet upgraded must do so.

In the realization of a safer EMV system, the United States lags behind most other developed countries. Now the US government requires that the new generation of bank cards and credit cards must integrate security chips in addition to magnetic strips, and must enter a four-digit password when trading. Terminals at various trading venues must be updated to support this chip PIN (or EMV) card. The deadline for this requirement is October this year, after which the EMV-incompatible terminal stores are responsible for all the resulting fraud.
