PS copolymer packaging material for low temperature and microwave heating

Nova Chemical Company of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA developed polystyrene copolymer copolymer grade Dy. 1ark FG 2500, which is characterized by good low temperature toughness and high temperature rigidity, is suitable for processing and preparing microwave: 0II hot food packaging containers, meeting the requirements of microwave heating process after taking out food containers from the freezer. The application goal is for restaurant customers to carry food containers and service containers. The Dylark FG 2500 has high toughness, so the food leaks and spills less when the container is removed from the microwave and the customer takes the car home. According to Debra VanHohs, head of Nova's global packaging business, this FDA-approved material can be processed into different colored, transparent or foamed containers. In addition, the new grades can be rapidly formed with existing PS or polyester processing equipment, resulting in high extrusion output, tightness of the container, and ease of printing.
