2. Reason analysis

A large country with a population of more than one billion, the talent resources are extremely rich. From the perspective of education alone, there are also many graduates involved in the training, but the lack of talent in the furniture industry. Why is this ordinary industry lacking talent? One of the reasons is that the working environment is poor and the social treatment is low.

Furniture is often used in factories in the suburbs or in the countryside. The working environment is rather harsh. There are few furniture factories with low pollution, low noise and clean windows. The same is a university graduate or graduate student, and the salary is lower than other industries. Compared with peers, the psychological gap is large, and their value is not directly reflected. Under the driving of real interests, diversion seems to be their only choice. The furniture industry, like China's western development, faces the same situation. The second reason is that the innovation power is weak and the social demand is low.

Moreover, because the design has not yet formed independent intellectual property rights in China, many enterprises also believe that it is cheaper to hire designers at higher salaries and bear greater cost risks than the cost-saving considerations. Therefore, in the past few years, there was almost no original design in the Chinese furniture industry. The products were copied to Hong Kong and Europe and the United States, or copied according to the boss's intention. The design of the station was only a draftsman. In such soils, even designers with innovative desires and talents lack space for development and can only be bound and buried. It won't take long for it to change. The situation is getting better now, but the situation has not yet been reversed.

Wood science and technology belong to the national second-level discipline. There is no keyword for "furniture" in a national-level project. There is no way to declare it. Since the founding of New China, there was a furniture design course in the 1950s. By the 1980s, there was an undergraduate major in furniture design, which has been in development for more than 50 years. But in the furniture industry, no professor has ever taken the National Natural Science Foundation project. The furniture industry not only does not have a primary academic journal, nor a core journal. The scientific research on furniture has been met with a cold reception, and it is a pity that it is tasteless.
